Цель урока: применение предметных умений в условиях решения
проектных задач.
Задачи:
1) Образовательные:
использовать средства учебного курса в целях изучения окружающего
мира;
актуализировать и комплексно применить полученные знания и умения
по теме;
2) Развивающие:
творчески применить знания в новой ситуации (проблемные задания);
развивать умение высказывать свою точку зрения и личное отношение
к поставленной проблеме;
формировать социокультурную компетенцию;
3) Воспитательные:
обеспечить
условия
для
создания
благоприятного,
эмоционального
психологического климата в учебном сообществе для формирования
коммуникативной культуры учащихся;
способствовать
развитию
чувства
ответственности
и
бережного
отношения к природе;

1. Приветствие. Определение темы урока.
Беседа на основе просмотренного
материала.

Teacher: You are going to watch a small video film. Watch the video attentively
and make comments on it.
Can you suggest the theme of our lesson? Any ideas? (слайд №3)
What have you seen first? What happened next?
Forests are the lungs of our land. They give fresh strength to people, oxygen to
living organisms.
(На доске появляется тема «Forest» и проблемы лесов «deforestation», «fires»,
«the endangered animals»)
2. Контроль домашнего задания. Работа с текстом «Tropical rain forests», p.77
Teacher: We’ll explore these problems today. What do they depend on?
(Учащиеся дают краткие ответы.)

3. Тренировка умений рассказывать о проблемах окружающей среды по
данному плану. Работа в парах. Фронтальный опрос.
Teacher: The destruction of forests is not the only problem. There are others. Name
them! (water pollution, global warming…)
Teacher: On your desks you have small texts about two urgent problems of our
environment - water pollution and global warming. The aspects are mixed. Put
them in the correct order according to the plan. Work in pairs. (слайды №5 и 6)

4. Создание проектов по проблемам Карельских лесов. Работа в группах.
Teacher: We live in Karelia. What is the main treasure of our Republic? (forests,
…)
Are there the same problems with Karelian forests? Let’s explore deeper! (слайды
№7 и 8).
Today you have a chance to express your suggestions how to protect nature on our
planet. Divide into three groups of 4 students and choose one of the problem of
Karelian forests. Find
in the list sentences to each aspect and write your own
actions and contribution using red felt – tip pens (you shouldn’t …) and green (you
should …). On the blackboard there are words with translation (names of some
trees and animals). You can take pictures you need to decorate your projects. Two
students from each group will introduce and comment on their project.

5. Защита проектов.
It’s time to finish your work. Listen to each group and add your own ways to help

Water Pollution
Tons of oil products pollute the ocean each year. Big rivers carry into the ocean a
lot of the waste from industry and agriculture. A lot of fish dies in poisonous water.
Another problem is sewage systems (канализация).
Pollution kills animals, fish and plants. Another most important environmental
problem is the shortage of clean drinking water.
We must protect the clean water for our children and grandchildren. Save water.
The dirty water from factories can be made clean. Sewage must be changed.
Don’t leave the taps running.
Don’t throw away litter in the seas, rivers or on the beaches.
Global Warming
We pollute the atmosphere with different harmful substances which are
the
result
of
industrial
and
household
products,
such
as
refrigerators,
air
conditioners, cleaning chemicals, food packaging, etc. Cars, buses and factories
pollute the air with carbon dioxide. It also comes from burning coal and wood.
These substances cause greenhouse effect and the climate is changing..
The climate of the Earth is getting warmer and this affects the balance of nature.
The climate change can lead to the development of new diseases. The level of the
sea is rising.
Floods are also signs of global warming. Because of the climate
change many animals in the Arctic face disaster. A lot species of animals will
disappear.
Factories can clean their smoke. Pollution control systems must be developed.
More trees should be planted. People should use clean fuel in cars.
Plant trees,
which produce oxygen.
Don’t cut down trees.
Save electricity. Turn off the lights when you leave the room.

52% of the territory of Karelia is covered with forests. Karelia is
located in the taiga zone of coniferous forests (pine and fir tree ).
36% of the territory is the canopy. But there are small-leaved trees:
birch,
Karelian
birch,
alder,
aspen.
Karelian
forests
are
rich
in
different medical plants. Here there
are blueberries, raspberries,
strawberries, cloudberries, cranberries and cowberries.
People should increase territories for planting new trees because they
are the source of oxygen.
Population and technological development ruin the nature.
Territories
without trees become deserts because the top soil is
washed out by rains.
Deforestation increases the amount of pollutants in the air.
The amount of oxygen in the air has decreased in recent years.
The
disappearance of forests upsets the oxygen balance.
Cutting down trees provides wood and paper and creates space for new
roads, buildings, factories and cattle ranching.
People use wood for heating.
Plenty of species are in danger of losing their natural habitats.
Deforestation increases the amount of pollutants in the air.
The number of rivers and lakes dry up. It leads to global warming.
Authorities should fight against poachers and businessmen.
It is necessary to create new Nature reserves.
Forests are used for illegal logging and poaching.
People should join an organization like Greenpeace which tries to save
the forest and to promote ecotourism.

People can raise some money to save animals and plants.
Karelian forests are affected by the fires. 123 fires happened in
Karelia for the first half of 2016.

burning in the condition of hot weather.
Forest fires lead to the spread of harmful insects.
Soil becomes worse.
Forestry workers should acquaint citizens with the rules of conduct in
the forest.
Tourists leave a lot of rubbish in the forest.
Forest fires destroy flora and fauna.
Burning the forests releases carbon dioxide and decreases oxygen in
the atmosphere causing the global warming.
Forest fires can lead to massive fires in settlements, damage
communication and farmland.
We should clear forests of rubbish.
A lot of people go to the forest on picnic and leave fires.
Fire affects the forest composition.
The fire from
the burning match or cigarette is very dangerous, too.
The establishment of a system of reservoirs needs to be created.
Well-organized fire-prevention propaganda through mass media is very
important.
