A S T R A W B E R R Y F E S T I V A L I S A N E V E N T A N D CELEBRATION IN MANY TOWNS IN NORTH AMERICA. IN MOST INSTANCES, AREAS AROUND THESE TOWNS ARE, OR HAVE BEEN, DEEPLY INVOLVED IN THE PRODUCTION A N D M A R K E T I N G O F STRAWBERRIES, A N D T H E FESTIVALS ARE USUALLY HELD IN LATE SPRING AROUND THE TIME OF THE STRAWBERRY HARVEST. S U C H FESTIVALS GENERALLY INVOLVE A PARADE AND OTHER C O M M U N I T Y E V E N T S .
The N a t i o n a l S t r a w b e r r y F e s t i v a l i n Belleville, Michigan is a way for local farmers to celebrate their strawberry crops. Taking place over three days, held the third weekend in June, the festival offers many events for people of all ages. In collaboration with area churches and schools, some of the events include: Bingo Strawberry desserts Parade Car show "Strawberry Queen Pageant" Live entertainment
Strawberry Shortcake is a licensed character owned by American Greetings, originally used in greeting cards and expanded to include dolls, posters, and other products. The Strawberry Shortcake properties also include a toy line of the character's friends and pets.

Fun for the whole family. Come and let the children build bird houses, decorate cookies, participate in lots of contests, arts and crafts, cookie decorating, and of course, the carnival rides. Main Street highlights on Saturday, June 30th include the Bike Decorating Contest followed by the can’t-miss People’s Parade at 9am and the Family Fun Run at 10am. New this year is the Spelling Bee taking place on Saturday, June 30th in the Festival Marquee at Park Drive and Burkholder, sign-in for the Bee is from 9:30am to 10:30am. Also happening around Park Drive and Burkholder is the Inflatable Playground, the ever-popular Dunk Tank. Steve Fisher will be on hand to create fun and wacky shapes with balloons and Puppeteer Tim Holland will be entertaining throughout the day. Let the kids swing over to Memorial Park from 9 to 5 and participate in building a bird house and decorating cookies. There’s also free Pony Rides and the Bouncing Ball Corral – tons of fun! The fun continues into Sunday with the Strawberry Social and FREE Strawberry Shortcake, following the Ecumenical Church Service. The Inflatable Playground and the Dunk Tank will be in full action along the carnival, games and more
